Join us for a live webinar and project spotlight on Centene Corporation East Coast Headquarters presented by Jim Case, Nate Blong, and Andrew Stark with Uzun+Case.
Description:
The Centene Corporation East Coast Headquarters project is an 850,000 GSF office building with a 2200 car parking structure, located in suburban Charlotte, NC. This project features 60 ft. cantilevered office floors, exposed architectural board-formed concrete surfaces, and many other unique components. It was delivered on a fast-track schedule, with the topping out occurring less than 16 months after the start of design. The presentation will focus on the structural design, interdisciplinary collaboration and the construction challenges of this project.
Learning Objectives:
- Protecting the safety of building occupants through creative conceptualization and rigorous structural analysis.
- Designing to effectively achieve long spans and cantilevers for buildings.
- Documenting and coordinating unique materials and assemblages, in particular the use of both concrete and steel in a hybrid structure.
- Meeting extremely tight schedules through BIM technology and teamwork during construction.
This course will award 1.0 hours of continuing education.
